Vegan Cashew Cheese FAQs
1. What is cashew cheese?
Cashew cheese is a vegan, dairy-free cheese alternative made from cashews and natural ingredients. It's creamy, flavorful, and can be used similarly to traditional cheese.
2. What is the difference between cashew cream cheese and aged cashew cheese?
Cashew cream cheese is soft and spreadable, fermented for less than 24 hours, resulting in a mild sourness perfect for bagels, sandwich and dips.
Aged cashew cheese, however, is left to undergo further "ripening" in a temperature and humidity-controlled environment. In our factory, it is aged in a fridge at 10 degrees Celsius for an extended period, usually 28 days. This aging process hardens the cheese, concentrates its flavor, and results in a smoother, sliceable texture.
3. What flavors are available?
We offer various flavors such as Classic Plain, Dill, Tomato Garlic, Chives, and Aged varieties like Triple Cream, Grape-washed rind, Smoked Gouda, and Mediterranean Herbs.
4. How is cashew cheese made?
Our cashew cheese is made using high-quality cashews, fresh cold pressed coconut cream, blended with herbs, spices, and natural cultures, then fermented to develop rich flavors.
